Heidi Orfilda De La Paz Miranda has expertise in international, environmental, trade and economic law. Her current interests are in the commercial regulation of the green energy certification system, commercialization of the carbon credit market, international law and foreign investment, energy law in Mexico and international investment arbitration in the energy sector.
During her stay at UC MEXUS, she will conduct a study of U.S. law as it applies to energy and the environment, deepening her understanding of the investment arbitration tribunal on environmental issues. Through her work she hopes to develop a body of work that can inform future policy on international trade and investment.
