Dept's strengths or focus: Miniaturization science (MEMS and NEMS) with
emphasis on chemical and biological applications. Current projects include
polymer actuators (for drug delivery), C-MEMS and CD based fluidics. Besides
miniaturization techniques and materials choices, scaling laws are
considered.
